Pirates of the Caribbean Academy

My 2008 article on the sources and background to the famous Disney films is no longer available on this site. But you can see photos of the poster sent to me by the films' director Gore Verbinski, who, I was told, was 'blown away by it'. He accordingly sent me a signed poster of the third film in the series, At the World's End. It is written: To Martin Connolly and his students. "Take what you can, Give nothing back!" GORE VERBINSKI.  (No doubt a pirate phrase if ever there was one! )

The paper may be published in book form, with illustrations and excerpts from original texts. Watch this space.
